Burdene Tidwell

Burdene Stewart Tidwell, 85, of Levelland passed from this life on July 9, 2021.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 10:00 am at the First Assembly of God Church.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born August 31, 1935 in Corsicana, Texas to C.A. and Izyal Currington. Burdene worked hard all her life.  She never met a stranger which was a true Currington trait.

Burdene loved her church, family and friends.  Everyone knew she was a child of God.  Burdene was only a call away for anyone needing prayer.  She was a member of the Assembly of God church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Arlanda Currington and Coy Currington; and grandson, Dustin Parker.

Burdene is survived by her son, E.C. Stewart, Jr.; daughter, Karen (Randall) Parker; brothers, Donny Currington and Kenny (Linda) Currington; grandchildren, April (Justin) VanZandt, Chris Parker, Eric Stewart, and Stephanie (Casey) Baldwin; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jacinto and the staffs of Covenant Hospital and Interim Hospice for their considerate care over the years.
