Barbara Ann Walker, 72, of Levelland, Texas gained her wings on October 15, 2021 in Lubbock, TX.
She was born on May 26, 1949 in Morton, Texas to Henry and Ellen Franklin. She graduated from Pep High School in 1967, and married the love of her life, Robert Walker, in 1968. She worked in the Financial Aid Office and then the Business Office at South Plains College for 28 years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Gery Franklin, Mary Walker, and Gaynell Franklin.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Jacque and husband Brad Fowler of Lubbock; son, Gregg Walker of Levelland; son, Chad and wife Kelly Walker of Highland Village; daughter, Kristi and husband Mike Hosek of Lubbock; and son, Zac and wife Cherish Walker of Levelland. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her twelve grandchildren, Austin, Brooke and Rowdy, Christian, Ashlyn, Addyson, Kendall, Kali, Keelie, Ainsley, Sloane, Jaxon; and one great grandson, Bash. Left to cherish the many memories include her seven siblings, Charles, Bill, Betty, Linda, Dan, CarrieBeth, Tim; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the rosary with visitation will be from 6 – 8 pm on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland. Her Celebration of Life Mass will be on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 2 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Mary and Alvin Walker scholarship fund at South Plains College or the American Cancer Society.
