Allen Wayne Jourden

Allen Wayne Jourden, 82, of Levelland passed from this life on February 8, 2023.  Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2023, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born January 12, 1941 in Snyder to Evan Earl and Essie Lee Jourden.  Allen was raised in Crane where he attended school and graduated from Crane High School.  He attended and played football at Angelo State University.  Allen married Lois Rose on March 5, 1962.

Allen stayed active by playing indoor soccer in Lubbock until he was 62 years old.  He retired from Texaco/Chevron after 36 years of service.

He was a good Christian man that encouraged everyone to know God.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Jourden; and sister, Faye Ellen Clements.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Jourden; children, Dana (Choyr) Gilbert, Jill (Chris) Timms and Lee (Shelly) Jourden; sisters, Linda Vest, Anita Schenrock, Janice Myatt and Rebecca Hood; grandchildren, Colby (Brittany) Gilbert, Chase Timms, Jared (Kasey) Timms, Callie Rose Gilbert, Ashlyn (Masen) Timms, Avery Timms, Emry Jourden and Camry Jourden; and great grandchildren, Peyton Gilbert, Cooper Gilbert and Maci Lou Timms.

The family would like to thank Lynwood Nursing Home and Patti Jouett of Hospice of Lubbock for their love and compassion.
