Alicia Comacho

Alicia Gonzales Comacho, 74, of Sundown passed from this life on March 19, 2021.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in the Sundown Cemetery.

She was born January 19, 1947 in Hinds, Texas to Manuel and Anita Gonzales.  Alicia resided in Colorado City, Ropesville and Carlisle before moving to Sundown in 1991.  She and husband Contrado Comacho made Sundown their home together for 30 years.

Alicia spent her life as a caring mother and wife.  She loved visiting and spending time with her family, as well as making and delivering seasonal baskets/gifts to all of the little ones.  Alicia enjoyed sewing quilts for family members and new additions to the family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Anita Gonzales; and son, Ernesto “Ernie” Gonzales.

Alicia is survived by her husband, Contrado Comacho; daughters, Frances Benavidez, Leanor Ramirez both of Lubbock and Lisa (Cody) Comacho of Sundown; sons, Andrew Salas of Lubbock, Manuel (Rosie) Salas of Wolfforth, Jimmy (Sonia) Gonzales of Brownfield and David (Sylvia) Salas of Midland; brothers, Armando Gonzales and Manuel (Carmen) Gonzales both of Colorado City; sisters, Adela (David) Hernandez of Smyer and Bertha (Emiliano) Gonzalez of Lubbock; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly!
