Alice Kester

Services for Alice Marie Pierce Kester, age 80, will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 2:00 PM at Krestridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin Street in Levelland. Interment will follow in the Whiteface Cemetery in Whiteface. Alice passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

Alice was born on October19, 1938 in Royalty, Texas to August Campbell and Alice Irene Pierce. Alice was a proud graduate of Texas Tech University having obtained her Master Degree in Education. In 2017, Alice retired from teaching. She loved her school children. She taught a variety of subjects and even coached volleyball, but her greatest love was teaching kindergarten. Through the years she taught in Welch, Pep and Whiteface schools. Some of Alice's hobbies included crafts, crocheting and reading. She was a member of Eastern Star. Alice was a proud Red Raider fan as well. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Whiteface and enjoyed fellowshipping at Broadview Baptist Church while living in Lubbock. She was dear to her family and will be greatly missed.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Byron Pierce and Otho Lee Pierce.

Left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Lisa Johnson and husband Randy of Whiteface; one son, Jeff Kester and Terri Fyffe of Royalty; five grandchildren, J.C. Kester of Longview, Dr. Kristy Kester Ford and husband Bryce of Winston-Salem, NC, Lucas Johnson and wife Lori of Plainview, Jake Johnson and wife Ashley of Whiteface, and Sara Fyffe of Marshall.

A visitation will be held at Krestridge Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
